Course description: Stroke episodes are linked with significant health concerns in patients who are geriatric, obese, or immobile. Although the majority of Stroke episodes occur after a patient has been discharged from the hospital, surgery or an acute illness causes more than half of them.According to leading organizations guidelines, clinicians play an important role in supporting the use of Stroke episode prophylaxis during hospitalisation. Direct oral anticoagulants have grown more common in the last ten years and play an important role in the prevention and treatment of Stroke. It is critical to identify patients who can benefit from anticoagulant medication and stroke-prophylaxis after discharge in order to reduce the clinical and financial burden, as well as the risk of Stroke-recurrence and long-term consequences.
